New York Mets Honor 77th RRC and Commemorate 100th Anniversary of the U.S. Army Reserve – New York, NY
The New York Mets designated September 13, 2008 as Army Reserve Day at Shea Stadium to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the U.S. Army Reserve and to honor the Army Reserve Soldiers of the 77th Regional Readiness Command (RRC). Prior to the game, the 77th RRC band played, members of the 77th flanked the field and there was a Color Guard. In addition, the U.S. Army Reserve 100th Anniversary video played on the Jumbo-tron to over 50,000 Mets fans. A total of 106 stories ran online resulting in 1,472,419 media impressions.
