Staff Sergeant Peter Vaughan
Staff Sergeant Peter Vaughan, age 25, is on his first deployment to Iraq, and his second deployment overall. He works as a broadcast technologist in the Army Reserve, and has extensive experience developing video products for PSYOP. At home, Vaughan owns his own computer consulting company in his hometown of Palatine, IL. He is close to completing his degree in electrical engineering at Northern Illinois University, and is a member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers. Vaughn notes that it is "momentous to be in Iraq for the [Army Reserve's 100th] anniversary," and that he is "proud to be serving" his country. Vaughan was one of 100 Soldiers to re-enlist in the Army Reserve on January 18, 2008, during a special 100th Anniversary ceremony that took place in Baghdad, Iraq.
