Sergeant Jonathan Britt
Sergeant Jonathan Britt, age 25, is serving in Iraq as a combat medic. He provides health care and combat medicine at all levels to both U.S. Soldiers and enemy soldiers. Britt graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in agriculture business management. Before his deployment to Iraq, Britt worked for his family's landscaping business, at UPS, and as a substitute teacher in his hometown of Hope Mills, NC. Through his experience in the Army Reserve as a combat medic, Britt has decided to pursue nursing school when he returns to the United States. To Britt, the 100th Anniversary of the Army Reserve means "commitment, determination, fortitude and multiple generations of Soldiers serving their time for our country." Britt was one of 100 Soldiers to re-enlist in the Army Reserve on January 18, 2008, during a special 100th Anniversary ceremony that took place in Baghdad, Iraq.
