Staff Sergeant Casey Ray Bargar
Staff Sergeant Casey Ray Bargar, age 28, is currently stationed in Camp Anaconda, a large logistical base in Northern Iraq. During this deployment — Bargar's third — he works in the Joint Operations Center (JOC), tracking all movements outside the wire and reporting on any significant acts or mass casualties. Originally from Titusville, Pennsylvania, Bargar's home station is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. At home, Bargar does civilian work for the Department of Defense, focusing on military weapons and equipment. When asked about serving in the Army Reserve, Bargar states that "it gives me pride to say I serve those who cannot fight themselves." Bargar was one of 100 Soldiers to re-enlist in the Army Reserve on January 18, 2008, during a special 100th Anniversary ceremony that took place in Baghdad, Iraq.
